Happy Heart Day to You!

Happy Valentine's Day to you! I have included some pics of this last weeks Valentine's Day parties that took place at the kids' wonderful little school! I am so thankful that they are still all in the same place for this year! It really comes in handy when 2 parties are scheduled 15 minutes apart! Mommy was real busy running from one event to the other. Campbell loved his party, but was a little clingy because he was afraid Mommy was going to leave him there! Emma Cate loves V-Day and as you can see from the pics had a fabulous time at her party! Then there is Chance and he made it very clear that this was not his favorite holiday! He really wasn't that into it because he doesn't like chocolate and it was too mushy!!! I have posted the pics in the order the parties took place...Campbell's was at 9:45 on Wednesday and Emma Cate's was at 10:00. Luckily, Chance's party was not until Thursday!

Num! (Yum!) I love cupcakes!!!
Digging through his bag of goodies! Passing out his valentines!
Campbell made Mary Moo a special glitter Valentine
and asked who his valentine was he always said Moo Moo!

Posing for a picture!
My class!
Holding all of her valentines! She said she felt like a shopping girl!
Let's get into those bags!
Smiling for a Valentine pic!
He enjoyed the chicken nuggets, just not the candy!
Chance and his buddy!
Daddy was able to make it to Chance's party! Yey!

Our Little Firefighter

Campbell was a little firefighter for the day! For his 3rd birthday we had his party at the firehouse (as he calls it). When dressing him for the party I told him that we needed to put on his firetruck clothes. So when I got out his smocked firetruck shirt he said, "Not those firetruck clothes, me hat, me boots, me coat!" Through a little reasoning we were able to get him to put on his firetruck "party" clothes. He was a fireman for Halloween and has a fascination for firetrucks, ambulances, police cars and anything else that makes loud noises and moves really fast (kind of like his personality)! We had a tour of the firestation, looked at the ambulance and walked through it, learned all about the firetruck, toured the firefighters living quarters and everybody loved the 3 poles that the firemen came down. Campbell was very excited to see the poles he said ,"Look 5 poles...1,2,5! " I guesss we need to keep working on those counting skills! After our awesome tour, we walked across the parking lot to our churches recreation facility. There we ate cake and ice cream and the kids played in the gym before going home! It was so much fun! Campbell loved it, even though having all of his friends and family there and having all the attention on him was a little overwhelming!

Our American Girl

Our little American Girl had yet one more birthday celebration! Emma Cate and her friend down the street, Caroline, celebrated their December birthdays in January at the American Girl store. They invited their friends to meet in Dallas for a big party at the store which included games, making dresses for their dolls, eating lunch together, opening presents and of course yummy birthday cake and ice cream. Some of their friends and family were able to stay and then go ice skating and have a sleepover at the hotel! There was not much sleeping going on at that sleepover. The girls stayed up late painting nails, playing games and watching movies! It was a really fun weekend and a big bang blowout to the closing of the turning 6 celebrations!

Merry Christmas! (Part 1)

I hope everybody had an awesome Christmas! Ours was very busy, but lots of fun! I am so very far behind on blogging that I have made a slideshow of all the Christmas activities from this December up until Christmas Eve. This will give you a glimpse of Christmas through our children. They experienced Christmas in many different ways this year! We went to the tree farm and cut down our tree and brought it home and hung the ornaments. One weekend we went to the Gaylord Texan and went to the ice exhibit there and it was magnificent! The Polar Express train ride was also a highlight of the season! As we were able to ride the woo woo(what Campbell calls a choo choo) have hot chocolate, ride to the North Pole and see Santa himself! In the middle of all that the kids were involved in programs at their school and at church! I have also included a short video of Campbell singing Jingle Bells. Our little mess sang it for everyone the whole month! I didn't want anyone to miss it! He could possibly be famous one day!

Happy Birthday to You!

Our baby girl was born on December 18,2002. It was honestly one of the happiest days of our lives! We were so happy to get Emma Catherine here safe and sound. It is hard to believe that we are now celebrating her 6th birthday. She is our Christmas baby so we always try to make an extra effort to make birthday's special since her special day falls exactly a week before Christmas day. This year we celebrated on her actual birthday with 2 parties and treats at school! The first party she celebrated with the little girls in her class. Since she goes to a half day Kindergarten program, I went and picked up Emma Cate and the 4 other little girls in her class. Her big buddy, Allie, is now going to another school. Emma Cate was excited when she found out her school dismissed early that day! So Allie was able to meet us too! I took them to Barrons for a big girl lunch and then to have pedicures. It was a big treat for the girls and lots of fun, too!
After we got home and rested and unpacked from party #1, we moved on to her family party. For party #2, this year we decided to meet everybody in Marshall to see the Christmas lights and to go ice skating. We met at a restaurant and ate and had Hannah Montana cake, opened presents and then proceeded to the ice rink. The only problem was that it was a very warm day for the season and the ice was melting! No worries, the kids skated anyway! They were soaking wet by the time they finished, but lots of smiles and laughter in the process! I think Emma Cate had a great birthday! As you can see from the pictures she is glowing!
We love you baby girl! Happy Birthday!

Will it Hurt?

We have been out of town and the holiday hustle and bustle has got the best of me, so blogging has not been at the top of the priority list! However, I thought that today was a monumental event in Emma Cate's life so I stopped to share it with you! Emma Cate has not lost something this time, but gained 2 things in her ears! She got her ears pierced today! All of her little friends this year were getting their ears pierced on their birthdays, so Emma Cate and Caroline have been talking for months about getting theirs done. Caroline's birthday was last week and Emma Cate's is next week, so they decided to get them done between both of them. They both were very nervous, even a little white, but did great! Not even a tear was shed! I think it really helped getting it done together!

Picking out earrings. They wanted the same ones of course!
