The Wiggles

Last night we took the kids to see The Wiggles in Shreveport. We have seen this show several times, but I will have to say all of the kids enjoyed it this time the most! There was a lot of singing and dancing going on last night! The boys chose Captain Feathersword hats and swords and Emma Cate chose Dorothy and Wags stuffed animals for souvenirs. You will see these in their pictures. When the boys were not busy dancing they were busy having sword fights.
Campbell kept saying that he wanted to be the yellow Wiggle! You know "lellow" is his favorite color!

When is the show going to start?

Summer Fun

On Sunday the kids had a great time playing with our neighbors Caroline and Katie. We went on bike rides, ate popscicles, played in the sprinklers, made a mess with bubbles and ultimately ended up in the pool. Wow! That makes me tired even writing about it! They had so much fun and slept really well that night! I have also included a video of Emma Cate riding her bike without training wheels. Hope you enjoy looking at the pictures of my wet and dirty children...and yes those are Campbell's pajamas! He took 2 baths that night!

Who can make the biggest bubble?
Two peas in a pod... Katie and Campbell!

Chance gets the prize for the most bubbles at once!
Bike riding fun!
I couldn't decide on which popscicle, so I ate them both!

Needless to say, Mommy didn't get too much exercise on this walk!

A Day at the Alligator Farm

On Friday our neighborhood playgroup went to an alligator farm in Greenwood. There were lots of cool animals for the kids to feed. They really enjoyed letting them eat out of their cups. Or in Campbell's case, dumping the food from his cup. Needless to say he was very generous to a few of his favorites! Chance was very stingy with his food, so Campbell and Emma Cate started begging for some of his. They had a special time for an alligator feeding and as you can see below they were very hungry! Yikes! It was a really hot, but fun day!

Friends

I met my best friend in the 4th grade and we have been friends ever since! We weathered middle school, highschool and even college. Megan now lives in Pensacola and we do not get to see each other very often, usually once in the summer and Christmas. She now has 2 beautiful boys named Miller and Max. She was in town this week and we made a real quick trip to meet her and let the kids play. We had a great time! As you can see below, it is not the easiest thing to get 5 kids 5 and under to look at the camera and smile at the same time.

Happy Birthday Pops!

My kids threw a birthday party for my dad (also known as Pops) this weekend. I am not sure how old he turned, but celebrated with an Elmo party. There were candles, cupcakes and presents. I guess you are never too old to celebrate with Elmo, but most of all with family and especially grandkids! Happy Birthday Pops! We love you!

Building Buddies

As most of you know, we are in the long process of building a house. Brian got a little help from our little man, Campbell, the other night with the floor plans. Like father like son!!!

A Work of Art

Here are a few pics from last week. Emma Cate went to art camp with her pal Allie for the week. They made some really cute stuff all under the umbrella of "Garden Gadgets". I scanned two of her "masterpieces" which are below.

Our Little Ballerina

Emma Cate's dance recital was in May and before my blogging days. I have included some pictures and the videos of her 2 dances. As you will see, she was a butterfly for her ballet dance and a monkey with a really long tail (that was tripped over a lot) for her tap dance. My friend Meredith emailed me her videos from the dress rehearsal. Her little girl is one of Emma Cate's best buddies and stands right next to her in both dances. So, if you see the camera zoom in on Allie remember it was her mom taking the video and wanted to get some close ups of her little star!
Hope you enjoy!

A Day at the Pool

We had a really fun day at the pool today! Our playgroup met at Pinecrest this morning and the boys and I went with our sweet babysitter, Jennifer. Emma Cate went to Art Camp this morning and she, Allie and Brian came to meet us there after it was over. Campbell was in a really funny mood today and kept us rolling the whole day. As you can see from the 2 videos included he was a scream! Jennifer is going to Texas A&M this fall and was trying to teach Campbell to put his thumb up and say, "Gig'em". As you can see from the pic below, he never quite got it, but was real proud of the finger he was putting up! Hope you think the videos are as funny as we did! Campbell is definitely our little ham!

Little Fish

It seems like all we have been doing this summer is going to swimming lessons. Chance has improved so much this year in this area. Last year he was really happy walking around the pool or he would always ask if there was going to be a "little pool" wherever we were going
to swim. This year the fear is gone and he spends most of his time in the shallow end of the pool diving for sticks and torpedos. He will not wear a floatie, so we took a private lesson this week with Ms. Carla hoping to at least get him swimming well enough to get to the side of the pool if he were to get to deep. Things finally clicked and he is now swimming! Yeah! Check out the video and see for yourself!
